Smugglers attacked on BSF

There have been several incidents of smugglers attacking Border Security Force personnel on the India-Bangladesh border. These incidents help the BSF to maintain security on the border and prevent illegal activities like smuggling. This shows that the challenges are increasing.

A gang of about 15-20 armed Bangladeshi smugglers is active in Malda district of West Bengal. One of these big smugglers is about to enter the Indian border. When the BSF personnel saw their activities, the smugglers attacked them. In response, the BSF opened fire in self-defense and the smugglers fled. After the incident, BSF jawans recovered hundreds of Phensedyl tablets, 100,000 grams of pepper spray.

In another incident in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, illegal cattle smuggling was carried out. While trying to stop this attempt, BSF personnel were attacked by cattle smugglers. The BSF succeeded in stopping the smugglers from crossing the border and they intended to smuggle elephants. Some elephants have been rescued.

Smugglers carrying sharp weapons tried to take action in Sipahijala district of Tripura, but BSF personnel, including women guards, stopped them. The BSF has recovered a large number of illegal goods, which gave smugglers a chance to continue their criminal activities. The matter is being prevented from being completed.

These incidents show that smugglers often resort to violence and pose a serious threat to the lives of BSF personnel. Smuggling of illegal goods such as drugs in the border area.
